Baselitz-Jungwirth-Lüpertz-Nistch-Penck
In recent years, Museum Jorn has made a name for itself on the international art scene through several special exhibitions with artists around the Danish painter Per Kirkeby (1938-2018), who is richly represented in the museum’s collections and archives. Extensive exhibitions with Kirkeby’s German artist colleagues Martha Jungwirth, Hermann Nitsch, Georg Baselitz, Markus Lüpertz and A.R. Penck and the subsequent acquisitions have resulted in a significant further development of the museum’s collection profile.
Now the filtrate of the museum’s work with contemporary art’s international heavyweights can be experienced in a dialogical presentation, where the most important new acquisitions are shown side by side with Per Kirkeby’s art.
